David's Hometown

This is my hometown! I am from San Mateo, California, which is a suburb located roughly 15 minutues outside of San Francisco. I've lived there my entire life leading up to college, and the weather is consistently around the 70 degree mark throughout the majority of the year. It is one of the 7 counties that comprise the Bay Area.

Interests

I am a big sports fan, and my favorite teams are the Golden State Warriors, San Francisco Giants, and - of course - the Zags. I am also trying to get into photography and learning both Russian and French at the moment. I'm big on family and friends as well and really enjoy going out and doing fun activities with whatever group I'm with. My favorite food is probably some variation of seafood, though it's hard for me to decide on one.

Education

In 2021, I graduated from Burlingame High School, CA, and I now attend Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. I am studying business and will decide a concentration in a month or so, and I'm looking deeply into economics and marketing. I will graduate from GU in the Spring of 2025.

Pet

This is my dog, Monty. He's a 7 year old English bulldog who I've had the pleasure of growing up beside. He's a great companion and despite his age he very much still has the energy and exuberance of a puppy.

Work Experience

I have had some enriching work positions throughout the last few years. Most notably I worked as a project intern for SRI International, and coached basketball for a club back home called NorCal Rush. I also have experience in plenty of volunteer work in high school, and spent a year on the Housing Association's Block Council here at Gonzaga.

Skills

I am an effective communicator in group settings and work well both in individual and team work. I have strong comprehension and writing skills in Spanish to pair with my fluency in English. I am definitely a people-person and love to make new connections. I would also describe myself as having a determined personality.
